Breeders’ Cup Classic – Keeneland Race Course

Win: Flightline

Starting at post No. 4, the four-year colt has veteran jockey Flavien Prat to show him the way. Trained by John Sadler, Flightline has five victories in five races under his belt. The Grade 1 Pacific Classic was his most recent win. He covered 1 ¼ miles on dirt in 1:59.28 over Country Grammer and Royal Ship.

As a son of Tapit, he won coast-to-coast races this season. Starting in the Grade 1 Metropolitan Stakes at Belmont Park in New York, Flightline raced at Del Mar in the West Coast’s Pacific Classic on Sept. 3. In winning the BC Classic, he should be three-for-three in all time zones.

Place: Life Is Good

Trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by jockey Irad Ortiz Jr, Life Is Good started off this four-year campaign by taking first place in Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream. More recently, he won the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack on Oct. 1.

Sired by Into Mischief, he has been bred by power and speed to handle the longer distances on dirt. Life Is Good is better off at this track starting in post No. 2 to give him to inside edge. He has the ability to break out of the pack and into the early lead.

Show: Hot Rod Charlie

After placing in the money in Triple Crown events’ the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes, Hot Rod Charlie was a bonfire contender in major graded events. As a four-year old, he won the Grade 2 Lukas Classic Stakes at Churchill Downs on Oct. 1 over Rich Strike and King Fury.

Hot Rod Charlie is the son of Oxbow and he is trained by Doug O’Neill. He is starting at Gate 5 in this race with Tyler Gaffalione as his jockey.
