Horse racing's richest race on American soil takes place this Saturday in Florida at Gulfstream Park. With a total prize purse of $9 million, the Pegasus World Cup Invitational features 12 of the top racing thoroughbreds in the world headlined by Accelerate as a 9/5 favorite on the morning line odds.
As part of my weekly coverage of horse racing for the highly popular sports betting website Scores & Stats, I have broken down the field for Saturday's main event at Gulfstream to come up with a free trifecta bet. Given the overall depth of talent in this 12-horse field, the race should remain up for grabs over the entire 1 1/8-mile run on the dirt. Please click through the link below to Scores & Stats to find out which three entries I have finishing in the money.

Betting on a Possible Duke Letdown Against Pitt
I was a wild week for the ACC's Duke Blue Devils leading up to this Tuesday night's road game against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Last Monday, Duke was on the wrong end of a 95-91 overtime loss to Syracuse as a 17-point home favorite. Adding injury to insult, point guard Tre Jones was lost for the foreseeable future with a separated shoulder.
As 3.5-point home favorites against the then-No. 4 undefeated Virginia Cavaliers, the Blue Devils grinded-out a 72-70 win on Saturday. They have now failed to cover in their last three games. Going on the road this Tuesday, Duke will have to avoid any kind of letdown coming off such a big win. Last week's roller-coaster ride cost Duke its top spot in the Coaches Poll with a drop to No. 2.
Pitt is 12-6 SU this season coming off a road loss to Syracuse on Saturday with a profitable 13-5 record ATS. The Panthers have been able to cover BetAnySports' closing line in 10 of 13 home games this season. In the search for high-value underdogs as part of my sports betting coverage for Ask the Bookie, the link below is my complete betting preview for Tuesday night's ACC clash.

Top NFL Betting Props for Championship Sunday
Sunday's conference championships in both the NFC and the AFC feature some of the biggest star power in the league. New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees is looking to get his team back to the Super Bowl after winning it all in 2009. Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady has been a regular fixture in the Super Bowl during his extended tenure in New England.
There is no shortage of quality running backs in Sunday's games with Todd Gurley leading the way for the Los Angeles Rams while the duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram look to tear things up for New Orleans. Rookie back Sony Michel has revitalized the Patriots' ground game and Damian Williams is coming off a huge performance for Kansas City in last week's win against Indianapolis.
When it comes to wide receivers, Brandin Cooks is Jared Goff's top target for the Rams and the Saints' Michael Thomas was unstoppable in his team's victory against Philadelphia. Julian Edelman remains Tom Brady's top target in New England's passing offense and the Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelse is poised to have a big game catching balls from second-year phenom Patrick Mahomes, who appears to be a lock to win league MVP.
BetAnySports has released a full set of betting props for Sunday's games involving all of these players. As part of my weekly coverage of the NFL for the highly-touted sports betting website, Scores&Stats.com, I have come up with four high-value prop bet picks based on the posted odds. Colts Go for Another Big Upset at Arrowhead
Millions of dollars have been won or lost by a half point on a closing spread on quite a few occasions. Last Saturday in my top underdog bet for Ask the Bookie, I went with Seattle +2.5 points against Dallas and a late fourth-quarter score proved to be the difference on the betting board with the Seahawks coming up two points short in a 24-22 loss.
The underdogs went 4-0 against the spread in the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs with three teams winning their game straight-up. The stakes are raised much higher this weekend in the Divisional Round with a trip to next Sunday's conference championships on the line. The spreads are wider for all four underdogs this time around starting with Indianapolis as a 5.5-point road underdog against the AFC's top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs.
Kickoff from Arrowhead is set for 4:35 p.m. on Saturday afternoon with NBC carrying the game nationally. The Colts could be the most dangerous team left in the postseason with 10 SU wins in their last 11 games. This includes last Saturday's 21-7 road victory against Houston as slight 1.5-point underdogs on BetAnySports' closing line.
As part of my weekly sports betting coverage for Ask the Bookie, I have pegged this AFC clash as my top underdog pick of the week. My complete game preview and free betting pick for this game is located at the link below.

Top NFL Betting Props for Wild Card Weekend
The NFL playoffs get underway this weekend with the four-game Wild Card Round. All four matchups have the potential to remain close, hard-fought battles right through the fourth quarter. The difference between winning and moving on verse losing and going home could come down to the performance of few key individual players.
Both Chris Carson of Seattle and Ezekiel Elliott for Dallas have the potential for big games running the ball while Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck could rack up some serious yards passing the ball against Houston's porous defensive secondary. The only thing better than watching these performances over the next two days is betting on some player props to add even more excitement to the action on the field.
As part as my weekly NFL coverage for the sports betting site Scores & Stats, I have done my best to break down the odds for a pair of player props in the Wild Card Round. Please click through the link below to find the best betting value in each play.

Seahawks Poised for a Big Upset in Big D
This weekend's Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs features four close matchups with the widest spread on the board at BetAnySports online sportsbook sitting at 5.5 points.
In the first of two games in the NFC, the 10-6 Seattle Seahawks will be on the road this Saturday night as slight 1.5-point underdogs against the 10-6 Dallas Cowboys. These two conference foes met back in Week 3 with Seattle winning that game 24-13 as a slight one-point home favorite. Each of these teams are coming off strong second-half runs to secure a playoff spot, but after Saturday night, only one will have a chance to carry that winning streak into the second round of the postseason.
As part of my sports betting coverage for Ask the Bookie, my task is to find underdogs in any sport with some high value in their betting odds. I turned to the NFL this week to cover a showdown between two similar and evenly-matched teams. The intangibles will be the difference in this game with a heavy lean towards the ability to rise to the occasion in the winner-take-all atmosphere the playoffs.

Ask the Bookie Free Underdog 'Pick of the Week'
The NBA is in the spotlight on Christmas Day with five featured matchups on ESPN and ABC starting at 12 p.m. As part of my NBA betting coverage for Ask the Bookie, I have been looking for the best value on the board when it comes to betting underdogs. In three previous picks, I have been able to cash a pair of winners. Each team won the game straight-up; one as a road underdog and one as a slight underdog at home.
One of my biggest parameters is looking for underdogs at home, but occasionally I will go with a road underdog if the spread is fairly tight. When the spread is three-points or less, I will strongly consider betting that game on the moneyline depending on the actual odds. Going through the NBA slate for Christmas, I have found a slight 1.5-point road underdog that could easily win this game SU.
