Millions of dollars have been won or lost by a half point on a closing spread on quite a few occasions. Last Saturday in my top underdog bet for Ask the Bookie, I went with Seattle +2.5 points against Dallas and a late fourth-quarter score proved to be the difference on the betting board with the Seahawks coming up two points short in a 24-22 loss.
The underdogs went 4-0 against the spread in the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs with three teams winning their game straight-up. The stakes are raised much higher this weekend in the Divisional Round with a trip to next Sunday's conference championships on the line. The spreads are wider for all four underdogs this time around starting with Indianapolis as a 5.5-point road underdog against the AFC's top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs.
Kickoff from Arrowhead is set for 4:35 p.m. on Saturday afternoon with NBC carrying the game nationally. The Colts could be the most dangerous team left in the postseason with 10 SU wins in their last 11 games. This includes last Saturday's 21-7 road victory against Houston as slight 1.5-point underdogs on BetAnySports' closing line.
As part of my weekly sports betting coverage for Ask the Bookie, I have pegged this AFC clash as my top underdog pick of the week. My complete game preview and free betting pick for this game is located at the link below.
