Before the 2016 NFL regular season got underway, I was one of those so-called football experts that had Green Bay pegged for a run all the way to Super Bowl LI. I just felt that it was Aaron Rodgers' year to rise up and take this team farther than it has gone in the past few seasons. Nine weeks into the season, the Packers are struggling at 4-5 and the playoffs are probably the farthest thing from their mind. They first need to concentrate on getting back to .500 with a victory against Washington this Sunday night.
The Redskins are 5-3-1 on the year and still in position to make a run at another NFC East title if they can keep winning and have the red-hot Cowboys falter somewhere along the way. At the very least, Washington would have to be considered one of the frontrunners for a wild card spot in the NFC. This is not the most prettiest team to watch in the NFL, but the Redskins still have a knack for finding ways to win.
Sunday night's matchup should be a good one and if you are looking for the best way to bet on this game at BetAnySports please check out the link below at SportsBettingStats.com for my complete preview and "best bet" pick.

Go Chalk with Jimmie Johnson this Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway
NASCAR's 2016 Sprint Cup season is down to one final race for the title and the top four drivers in the current point standings will put everything on the line this Sunday in the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This year's Chase started in Chicago with 16 drivers vying for the championship, but when the engine smoke finally cleared following three elimination rounds, NASCAR's version of the Final Four includes six-time Sprint Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson, last year's series champ Kyle Busch, 26-year old Joey Logano and NASCAR veteran Carl Edwards.
The betting odds to win both Sunday's race as well as the 2016 Sprint Cup title all lean towards Johnson. This makes perfect sense considering everything he has already accomplished in a highly impressive racing career. The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet also comes into this race in excellent form with previous Chase victories at Charlotte and more recently at Martinsville to earn an automatic qualifying spot in this Sunday's winner-take-all event. Busch is a solid second-favorite after placing in the Top 5 in six of the first nine races in this year's Chase and both Logano and Edwards are a bit further down the list in search of their first career Sprint Cup title.
Anything can happen this Sunday at Homestead-Miami and picking winners in any NASCAR race can be a tall task, but you will not catch me betting against Johnson to get it done for the seventh time in his storied stock car racing career.
The following link to SBR Picks is my complete preview of Sunday's Sprint Cup Championship race.

Browns Look to End Their Skid Against the Rival Ravens
I am not sure how tonight's Cleveland at Baltimore game worked its way into a prime time slot, but that is the Week 11 matchup on NFL Thursday Night Football. The Browns were expected to be awful this season and they have stayed true to the plan at 0-9 on the year. The Ravens jumped out to an unexpected 3-0 start before returning to form with four losses in their next five games.
Baltimore has been listed as 10-point home favorite for this AFC North tilt which tells you just how bad Cleveland really is. The total line has been set at 45 which I believe to be a bit high for a pair of teams that are ranked near the bottom of the league in points per game. Add in the fact that Baltimore's defense is ranked ninth in the NFL in points allowed (19.1) and this has the making of a grinder that would test the patience of any of these team's fans to stay up and watch the whole game.
None the less, the good folks at BetAnySports are more than happy to take your bets for this snoozefest so if you are looking for a free pick that comes with a very high level of confidence, please check out my complete game preview for SportsBettingStats.com at the link below.

College Football Week 10 Parlay Play
Each week of the college football season I come up with my top two-team parlay for Pay Per Head Guide. Last week I went with a pair on home underdogs going up against a pair of nationally ranked teams and paid the price. This is the time of the year where the cream starts to rise to top as the results continue to separate the contenders from the pretenders.
This week I found a pair of teams that started out as legitimate contenders, but their recent play has them fighting just to become bowl eligible with six wins. None the less, they both offer some solid value this week as slight favorites with BetAnySports in what comes down to a "must-win" to help salvage their season. Check out the link below at Pay Per Head Guide for this week's college football Week 10 top parlay play.

NFL Thursday Night Football Free Pick- Falcons at Buccaneers
The NFC South will be in the spotlight this Thursday night to kickoff Week 9 of the NFL regular season. The 5-3 Atlanta Falcons head into Raymond James Stadium looking to expand their lead over the 3-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are tied with New Orleans for second place in the division. The Falcons come in as three-point road favorites and the betting line at BetAnySports for the total in this game has been set at 51.5 points.
Right off the bat you would have to think that this division tilt will go OVER the total line with Atlanta sitting at the top of the list in scoring in the NFL with an average of 32.8 points a game while fielding a defense that is near the bottom of the league in points allowed (28.9). Add in the fact that Tampa Bay has had its issues on defense as well with a points-allowed average of 27 points a game and the scoreboard should be lit up like an early holiday Christmas tree all night long.
I am banking on the revenge factor also kicking in after the Bucs opened the season with a 31-24 upset over Atlanta as 2.5-point road underdogs back in Week 1. The get the inside track on tonight's NFC South showdown on the NFL Network check out the link below to my complete preview and "best bet" pick for SportsBettingStats.com.

NFL Week 8 Top Props Picks
One of the biggest games this Sunday in the NFL pits the 4-2 Philadelphia Eagles against the 5-1 Dallas Cowboys in a battle for first place in the NFC East. One of the biggest subplots in this prime time battle between bitter rivals on Sunday night will be the performance of a trio of rookies that have already taken the league by storm through the first seven weeks of games.
Carson Wentz was the second overall pick in this year's draft after Philly paid a king's ransom to move up to that spot. He was quickly elevated to the starting role as quarterback when Sam Bradford was shipped off to Minnesota for another first round pick. The former standout at Division IAA North Dakota State hit the ground running to lead his team to a fast 3-0 start. His last three starts have not been nearly as stellar and the Eagles' defense was largely responsible for last Sunday's 21-10 upset over the Vikings. That being said, it is hard to see Philadelphia winning this game on the road as underdogs unless Wentz has a big night in Big D.
Dallas was the preseason favorite to win the NFC East this season after winning just four games in 2015 until Tony Romo injured his back. The Cowboys turned to their fourth round draft pick Dak Prescott out of Mississippi State to take over the reins on offense and it does not look like his going to let go of his starting spot even when Romo is cleared to play in a couple of weeks. Prescott has put the ball up 182 times in his first six games and he has completed 125 passes for 1,486 yards and seven touchdowns against just one interception. He is one of the main reasons why Dallas is once again favored to win a division title this year.
Earlier in this year's NFL Draft, the Cowboys used the fourth overall pick to select former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott and he has quickly reestablished the team's once fierce running game by leading the NFL with 703 rushing yards on 137 carries. The Eagles' front seven against the Cowboys' stout offensive line and Elliott running the ball will most likely be the key matchup in Sunday night's tilt.
Earlier this week Bovada Sportsbook released some special props involving all three of these rookies and I jumped all over them for this week's NFL top prop picks for Pay Per Head Guide. Check out the link below for this week's picks.
