Betting the futures odds at BetAnySports to win this college football season's SEC Championship basically pits the Alabama Crimson Tide against the field. They are -150 favorites to win another conference title with the Georgia Bulldogs their main competition as +275 second-favorites. The Tide reside in the SEC West and Georgia plays in the SEC East.
Since they do not meet in the regular season, this should set up a rematch in the SEC title game in early December. The Bulldogs put up a good fight in last year's championship game as 12-point underdogs , but they still ended up on the wrong end of a 35-28 loss. Both teams are stacked with talent on both sides of the ball, but it is hard to see anyone getting in Alabama's way for a return trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
The best of the rest in the SEC as third-favorites to win are the Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers at +1400 betting odds. Each of these teams would need more than a few breaks to fall their way to have a dog in this fight. The Gators will get a shot to take down Georgia on their home field in early November. The Tigers will be on the road a week later against Alabama (Nov.9) in their biggest test of the season.
Anything can happen over the course of a season, but Alabama at -150 still looks like a bargain at BetAnySports. When the Tide start blowing teams out by 30 and 40 points those odds are only going to go up.
