Early Betting Odds for The 2019 Belmont Stakes

This year's Triple Crown racing series for the top three-year old thoroughbreds in the nation comes to a close on Saturday, June 8 with the running of the Belmont Stakes. Horse bettors have already seen a 65/1 longshot replace the favorite as the winner of the Kentucky Derby due to an interference infraction. Country House produced one of the biggest payouts in Kentucky Derby history and Maximum Security was bumped all the way down to 17th in the final running order.

Neither of those colts ran in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course to open the door for War of Will to take first in the second jewel of the crown. That race featured a three-year old colt named Bodexpress that remained competitive for most of the 1 3/16-mile run without a jockey after his rider was thrown to the ground coming out of the gate.

Who knows what this year's Belmont has in store for bettors with an anticipated field of 12 to 14 entries. BetAnySports has released its futures odds to win and, at the very least, this should remain a very competitive race over the longer distance of 1 1/2 miles on the dirt track at Belmont Park. As part of my Triple Crown coverage for the popular sports betting site Scores & Stats, the following link is to my early betting preview for this year's Belmont Stakes.
