The highlight of this Saturday's race card at Saratoga Race Course is the $1.25 million Travers Stakes for three-year old thoroughbreds. This Grade 1 stakes race will be contested on the dirt at Saratoga over a distance of 1 1/4 miles.
The field of 12 for this race is deep with talent including the winners of all three Triple Crown races earlier in the year. Trainer Todd Pletecher's Tapwrit comes in as a 7/2 favorite on the morning line and he will break from the No. 4 post with jockey Jose Ortiz getting the ride.
