FanDuel Predicts Profitability for All Four Quarters in 2023

The biggest US sportsbook is FanDuel in terms of market share of states with legal sports betting. Part of Flutter Entertainment in the UK, FanDuel Sportsbook has predicted profitability for all four quarters of 2023 after last year's first profitable quarter in April to June.

FanDuel CEO Amy Howe recently commented to Bloomberg Television:

"We feel very confident about our path to profitability in 2023. Fundamentals of our business are looking very strong so we remain very confident about full-year profitability this year."

The online sports betting company has more US market share than its two main competitors combined. FanDuel is the largest sportsbook both retail and in the online segment. FanDuel Sportsbook is available in multiple states and it covers sports games and sporting events including NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL games. FanDuel Racebook covers horse racing in the US, Canada and all over the world.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Prop Bet Odds

The AFC's Kansas City Chiefs and the NFC's Philadelphia Eagles are set to meet in the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 12. The Eagles are 1.5-point favorites and they have money line odds of -120. The total line of the game is 49.5 points.

My 2023 Super Bowl's top three prop bet odds are:

Jalen Hurts Anytime TD Scorer (+100)

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts drives this Eagles' offense both passing and running the ball. With the nose for the end zone, Hurts takes off running the ball and scores a touchdown in the first quarter of the game.

Miles Sanders Most Rushing Yards (+100)

The Eagles' offense is mostly built around the running game with Miles Sanders taking the lead. The odds favor him to be the running back with the mosts rushing yards in the Super Bowl matchup.

OVER 24.5 First Half Total (+105)

Both the Chiefs and Eagles offense will score the majority of the points in the first half, taking the OVER on 24.5 total points. Philadelphia's defense will make an appearance in the third and fourth quarter.

This Saturday's Withers Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack

Saturday, Feb. 11

Withers Stakes – Aqueduct Racetrack

Win: Hit Show

The three-year old colt is trained by Brad Cox and he has raced for Gary and Mary West Stables Inc. He finished first place in a one mile Allowance race at Oaklawn Park on Dec. 17 as a juvenile. Hit Show posted a time of 1:38.17 over Invulnerable and Protégé at this track.

As a son of Candy Ride, he was bred to go over a mile on dirt as one of the legitimate contenders for the 2023 Kentucky Derby. Hit Show has won twice in three races in his two-year old career at Keeneland and Oaklawn.

Place: Arctic Arrogance

Arctic Arrogance has finished first or second in five races since a six-furlong sprint on Sept. 5 of last year. He is trained by Linda Rice and bred in New York. In his last two stake races, Arctic Arrogance place second place with Dubyuhnell and Lugan Knight taking first.

Sired by Frosted, he raced at Belmont Park, Saratoga and Aqueduct in New York’s horse tracks. Because of his New York roots, Arctic Arrogance will gain a home-track advantage in the Withers Stakes this Saturday.

Show: General Banker

The New York-bred three-year old also has a home-track advantage in this race. His last three races are at Aqueduct, including a third-place showing in the Jerome Stakes on Jan. 7 of this year. General Banker has finished first, second or third at Belmont Park, Saratoga and Aqueduct in five of the seven races he has run at New York horse tracks.

General Banker is a son of Central Banker and he has competed on dirt and turf from a 5 ½ mile sprint race to 1 1/16 miles. He is stepping up in distance and grade in the Withers Stakes, but he won his stakes race on Dec. 17  at Aqueduct in the New York Stallions Great White Way.

Picks for the $250,000 Holy Bull Stakes this Saturday

Here are my top five contenders to race in the Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream and their morning line odds to win:

Lord Miles (5-2)

As a favorite in the Hoy Bull, the Kentucky-bred colt has raced for Gulfstream Park in two prior races. He finished first in the six-furlong Maiden Special Weight sprint this November as a juvenile. Lord Miles placed third in the ungraded Mucho Macho Man Stakes on Jan. 1 to make his three-year old debut. Saffie Joseph Jr. is the trainer and he is ridden by jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. out of the No. 1.

Cyclone Mischief (3-1)

Trained by Dale Romans and ridden by jockey Tyler Gaffalione, he is positioned No. 4 in the lineup. Cyclone Mischief is the son of Into Mischief and he finished first in the one-mile sprint on Jan. 8 of this year. He covered that race in 1:36.48 over Litigate and Mr. Ripple. As a three-year old Kentucky-bred colt, Cyclone Mischief races his career at Churchill Downs and Keeneland Racing Course before moving on to Gulfstream.

Legacy Isle (7-2)

This three-year colt has raced at Gulfstream Park his entire career. Legacy Isle won the six-furlong Maiden Special Weight race on Sept. 24 and won the one-mile Allowance race on Nov. 27 as a juvenile. His debut as a three-year old in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes ended up with a second-place finish after drifting out in the stretch to cause a disqualification. He is trained by Rohan Crichton and his jockey is Luis Saez in the No. 6 gate for this race.

Rocket Can (6-1)

He began his juvenile career at Saratoga Race Course in a pair of seven-furlong Maiden Special Weight sprints. Rocket Can moved up in distance for 1 1/16 miles on dirt with a first-place run and a second-place run at Churchill Downs later in his two-year campaign. Also a sire of Into Mischief, he is making his three-year debut at Gulfstream Park in the Holy Bull.

Mr. Bob (8-1)

Starting out with the No. 5 gate in the Holy Bull Stakes, Mr. Bob has Joel Rosario as his jockey. He is trained by Robert Falcone Jr. and he has raced for Robert LaPenta. He stumbled to a sixth-pace finish in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes after finished third at Saratoga, first at Keeneland and second at Churchill Downs in his juvenile campaign. Mr. Bob will be making his second start as a three-year old at Gulfstream in this race.
