College Football Week 10 Parlay Play

Each week of the college football season I come up with my top two-team parlay for Pay Per Head Guide. Last week I went with a pair on home underdogs going up against a pair of nationally ranked teams and paid the price. This is the time of the year where the cream starts to rise to top as the results continue to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

This week I found a pair of teams that started out as legitimate contenders, but their recent play has them fighting just to become bowl eligible with six wins. None the less, they both offer some solid value this week as slight favorites with BetAnySports in what comes down to a "must-win" to help salvage their season. Check out the link below at Pay Per Head Guide for this week's college football Week 10 top parlay play.

NFL Thursday Night Football Free Pick- Falcons at Buccaneers

The NFC South will be in the spotlight this Thursday night to kickoff Week 9 of the NFL regular season. The 5-3 Atlanta Falcons head into Raymond James Stadium looking to expand their lead over the 3-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are tied with New Orleans for second place in the division. The Falcons come in as three-point road favorites and the betting line at BetAnySports for the total in this game has been set at 51.5 points.

Right off the bat you would have to think that this division tilt will go OVER the total line with Atlanta sitting at the top of the list in scoring in the NFL with an average of 32.8 points a game while fielding a defense that is near the bottom of the league in points allowed (28.9). Add in the fact that Tampa Bay has had its issues on defense as well with a points-allowed average of 27 points a game and the scoreboard should be lit up like an early holiday Christmas tree all night long.

I am banking on the revenge factor also kicking in after the Bucs opened the season with a 31-24 upset over Atlanta as 2.5-point road underdogs back in Week 1. The get the inside track on tonight's NFC South showdown on the NFL Network check out the link below to my complete preview and "best bet" pick for SportsBettingStats.com.

NFL Week 8 Top Props Picks

One of the biggest games this Sunday in the NFL pits the 4-2 Philadelphia Eagles against the 5-1 Dallas Cowboys in a battle for first place in the NFC East. One of the biggest subplots in this prime time battle between bitter rivals on Sunday night will be the performance of a trio of rookies that have already taken the league by storm through the first seven weeks of games.

Carson Wentz was the second overall pick in this year's draft after Philly paid a king's ransom to move up to that spot. He was quickly elevated to the starting role as quarterback when Sam Bradford was shipped off to Minnesota for another first round pick. The former standout at Division IAA North Dakota State hit the ground running to lead his team to a fast 3-0 start. His last three starts have not been nearly as stellar and the Eagles' defense was largely responsible for last Sunday's 21-10 upset over the Vikings. That being said, it is hard to see Philadelphia winning this game on the road as underdogs unless Wentz has a big night in Big D.

Dallas was the preseason favorite to win the NFC East this season after winning just four games in 2015 until Tony Romo injured his back. The Cowboys turned to their fourth round draft pick Dak Prescott out of Mississippi State to take over the reins on offense and it does not look like his going to let go of his starting spot even when Romo is cleared to play in a couple of weeks. Prescott has put the ball up 182 times in his first six games and he has completed 125 passes for 1,486 yards and seven touchdowns against just one interception. He is one of the main reasons why Dallas is once again favored to win a division title this year.

Earlier in this year's NFL Draft, the Cowboys used the fourth overall pick to select former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott and he has quickly reestablished the team's once fierce running game by leading the NFL with 703 rushing yards on 137 carries. The Eagles' front seven against the Cowboys' stout offensive line and Elliott running the ball will most likely be the key matchup in Sunday night's tilt.

Earlier this week Bovada Sportsbook released some special props involving all three of these rookies and I jumped all over them for this week's NFL top prop picks for Pay Per Head Guide. Check out the link below for this week's picks.

ACC Pick of the Week- Clemson at Florida State

I fancy myself as a bit of an ACC subject matter expert when it comes to handicapping this conference for football and while I do not always get things right, there are certain times when one of my picks hits the nail right on the head. Every week I cover one or two of the top matchups in this conference for SportsBettingStats.com and the following is an excerpt from my preview and "best bet" pick for this past Thursday night's game between Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh.

Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh Prediction

"This should be a great battle right from the opening kickoff between two closely matched teams. Each one needs a win to stay on pace for a spot in the ACC Championship, but I would have to lean towards Pitt playing at home.

The current 4.5 betting spread appears to be a bit too generous for a road favorite playing a closely matched conference opponent in what I see to be a three-point game either way. The Hokies might get the SU win, but I betting that the Panthers make them earn it."

The Hokies went on to win that game 39-36 in one of my better calls this season. I have now turned my attention to this Saturday night's Atlantic Division showdown between No. 3 Clemson and No. 12 Florida State in one of the best ongoing rivalries in the ACC. Things have been really been lopsided in Tallahassee the past several years with the Seminoles holding a commanding 9-1 straight-up edge in their last 10 home games against the Tigers. However, BetAnySports has listed Clemson as a 4.5-point road favorite for this Saturday night's tilt.

Sometimes lightning does strike twice when it comes to betting college football games and I am confident that I will be right on the money with this pick as well. Please check out the link below at SportsBettingStats.com for my complete preview and "best bet" pick for this highly anticipated conference showdown.

College Football Week 8 Parlay Play

Week 8 of the college football season features a number of intriguing head-to-head matchups in the five major conferences, but the two that jumped off the page for me when it comes to betting on the games pits North Carolina State on the road against Louisville in the ACC to go along with a monster showdown in SEC between Texas A&M and Alabama.

After breaking down all the stats, facts and betting trends for both of these games, I have come up with a couple of plays that come together perfectly for this week's two-team college football parlay. Both NC State and Texas A&M are playing much better than expected this season, but they still come into this Saturday's games as heavy underdogs on the road. Louisville is ranked No. 7 in both major national polls and looking to work its way back into the College Football Playoff picture by running the table in the rest of its games. Alabama is clearly the top team in the nation and it is coming off a pair of road wins against Arkansas and Tennessee as a heavy two-touchdown favorite.

Both of these matchups should be two of the best games of the day and I personally believe that they are going to be much closer than the general betting public expects given where most of the early money has gone. Please check out the link below for my "best bet" picks for both games as my weekly parlay play for Pay Per Head Guide.

ACC & NFL Thursday Night Football Free Parlay Pick

I have been covering Thursday night football games both in the ACC and the NFL all season long for SportsBettingStats.com and this week I have such a good feeling about both picks that I decided to combine tonight's ACC clash between the Miami Hurricanes and the Virginia Tech Hokies with the NFC North battle between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers into a two-team parlay play.

All four of these teams are coming off a bad loss in last week's games so you know that each of them is looking to quickly bounce back with a win tonight. Virginia Tech has been listed as a five-point home favorite by BetAnySports and the betting spread for the NFL's Thursday night game has the Packers listed as nine-point favorites at home. The betting line that I have focused on for this week's picks in both of these matchups is the total line. Both betting lines appear to be a bit off and my plan is to capitalize on this betting opportunity in a very attractive parlay play. The two links below at SportsBettingStats.com are to my complete preview and prediction for each game.

ACC Pick of the Week: NC State at Clemson

One of the bigger games in the ACC this Saturday pits the 4-1 NC State Wolfpack against the 6-0 Clemson Tigers. NC State's strong start includes wins against Wake Forest in its conference opener and Notre Dame last Saturday in a 10-3 grinder as a 2.5-point home favorite. The Tigers have remained perfect on the year with victories against Georgia Tech, Louisville and Boston College in ACC play.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson came into this season as one of the top favorites to win this year's Heisman Trophy and he remains in the running with 1,572 passing yards and 18 touchdown throws while also rushing for 244 yards on 58 carries. NC State has relied on a balanced offensive attack to average 34 points a game, but its defense deserves a good deal of credit for the fast start with a points-allowed average of 17.6 that is ranked 15th in nation.

As part of my ACC 'best bet" pick of the week for SportsBettingStats.com, the link below is to my complete preview and prediction for this game in which Clemson comes in as a heavy 17.5-point home favorite.
