NFL Hall of Fame Game Preview & Free Betting Pick

Handicapping the first NFL preseason game of the year could be compared to taking the best-of-seven winner between heads and tails in coin flips. There are some clues as to what the outcome might be, but the sheer amount of variables make it nothing more than an educated guess. This Thursday night's 2019 Hall of Fame Game between the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons makes it even tougher with two teams that only face one another every four years.

None the less, I forge on with a complete game preview and official betting pick as part of my NFL coverage of the popular sports betting website Ask the Bookie. The current betting lines at BetAnySports online sportsbook have Denver listed as a 2.5-point neutral-site favorite for Thursday night's game in Canton, Ohio. The total line for this game is set at 34 points. Just as a quick preview for my official betting pick, my lean is toward the team getting points and the UNDER for almost every early preseason game. Defenses are normally way ahead of offenses this early in training camp to help keep scoring down.

Anyway, please click through the link below to Ask the Bookie to get the new NFL preseason started on hopefully a winning note.

Ohio State and Michigan Top The List in Big Ten Football

The college football betting futures at BetAnySports points to a two-team race the the Big Ten Championship this upcoming season. The Ohio State Buckeyes are favored to win the conference in 2019, but a close second is the Michigan Wolverines. Penn State, Michigan State and Nebraska are also in the mix, but each of those teams is going to need more than a few breaks to fall their way to end up on top.

As part of my college football coverage for the popular sports betting website Scores & Stats, the link below is my complete preview of the Big Ten along with my "best bet" to win this conference in 2019 based on the betting value in BetAnySports' NCAAF futures odds.

Boston at Tampa Bay Game 2 Preview & Free Betting Prediction

The Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays appear to be playing for second place in the AL East well behind the New York Yankees. Boston started this week's three-game series in Tampa Bay by pounding out a 9-4 win as a -140 road favorite. With Chris Sale scheduled to be on the mound tonight for Game 2, the Red Sox are set as -165 favorites on the road at BetAnySports online sportsbook.

There is always value to be found going against the betting public when it comes to making money on underdogs. Getting Tampa Bay at +155 as a home underdog falls into that category. The Rays have been struggling over the past week or so and they have now lost four-straight home games against Boston this season. However, I really like the fact that Yonny Chirinos will be on the mound for Tampa Bay. He held Boston scoreless through seven innings back in early June. While his last start was nothing to write home about, the right hander still has 3.29 ERA on the year.

Bet The RedBlacks and the Points in Friday's CFL Tilt

The featured Friday night matchup in Week 6 of the CFL regular season is a rematch between the East Division Ottawa RedBlacks and the West Division Winnipeg Blue Bombers. These two inter-division foes met two weeks ago in Ottawa with the Blue Bombers cruising to a 29-14 victory closing as three-point road underdogs. This time around, Winnipeg is a heavy 10.5-point favorite at home on the CFL betting board at BetAnySports online sportsbook.

As part of my CFL coverage for the popular sports betting website, Ask the Bookie, I have made the RedBlacks my 'Underdog Pick of the Week' as heavy road underdogs. Winnipeg is the only undefeated team in the CFL at 4-0 both straight-up and against the spread, but the early results throughout the nine-team league point to quite a bit of parity between most of the teams. Ottawa is 2-2 SU overall with a 1-3 record ATS. One of the early wins was a stunning 32-28 upset over Calgary closing as a nine-point road underdog. While I am not sure if the RedBlacks can win this game SU on the road, I am betting that they can keep things close enough to cover.

The following link to Ask the Bookie is my complete game preview of Friday night's clash.

Betting on 2019 SEC Win Totals

One of the most popular preseason college football bets is the OVER and UNDER on projected wins. The betting odds at BetAnySports online sportsbook cover almost every Division IA team in the five major conferences as well as several of the top teams in the other five Mid Majors. While it would be extremely helpful to have a crystal ball as a definitive edge in placing a few winning bets, breaking down a team's schedule is the next best thing.

When you are one of the best teams in the nation such as Clemson and Alabama, the OVER/UNDER comes down to running the table in the 12-game regular season or getting tripped up with a bad loss somewhere along the way. The next tier of teams will have to navigate their way through a few trap games along the way. The final group is hoping to notch enough wins to extend their season with a bowl game.

As part of my ongoing series for the popular sports betting site Scores & Stats, this week I took a closer look at the top teams in the SEC to find the best betting value in the current win total odds at BetAnySports. Please click through the link below for the full report.

Calgary at Hamilton Highlights CFL Week 5 Slate

Heading into Week 5 of the CFL regular season, the defending Grey Cup Champion Calgary Stampeders face an important test on the road this Saturday night against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Stampeders are 2-1 straight-up (1-2 against the spread) and a game behind Winnipeg in the West Division standings. The Tiger-Cats are 3-1 both SU and ATS in first place in the East, but they are coming off a bad loss to Montreal as heavy double-digit road favorites.

BetAnySports took their time releasing the betting lines for this week's CFL games, but Hamilton eventually opened as a four-point home favorite. As part of my weekly sports betting coverage for the popular site 'Ask the Bookie', I am always on the lookout for high-value underdogs. Calgary fits the bill this week in a game I have it winning SU. For my complete game preview and free betting pick, please click through the link below to Ask the Bookie.

CFL Week 4 Free Pick- Winnipeg @ Ottawa

I got off to a fast start with my CFL 'Pick of the Week' for the popular sports betting website www.sportsbookreview.com with three-straight winning plays. I will put that winning streak on the line this Friday night in an inter-division clash between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Ottawa RedBlacks.

Both teams are off to a fast start as well at 2-0 straight-up. They each have a potent offense that can put quite a few points on the board so Friday night's clash in Ottawa should be entertaining to say the least. After breaking down all the stats, facts and betting trends for this game, the following link to SBR is my complete preview and free betting pick based on odds from BetAnySports.
